Many students and their parents are simply unaware of the diversity that exists with arts-based careers.
School-based career fairs very often overlook the artistic and creative student within their presentations. Many school-based curriculums and programming that include the arts, these days, find themselves under tremendous financial pressures resulting in program cutbacks and visionary loss for the next generation workforce.
The 2017 NexGen Philadelphia event is May 13 at Philadelphia University, located in East Falls Philadelphia. The event provides access to information and skills specific to traditional and non-traditional arts-based career pathways and development for aspiring visual, performing, and technology arts students.
